Asthma Awareness Day Capitol Hill 2007 and 3-Day Asthma Conference

April 30 – May 2, 2007
Washington, DC

What happens when patients, families and medical professionals unite around issues related to asthma, allergies and other respiratory conditions? Plenty... if the venue is the first annual Asthma Conference held by Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA)!

The 3-day conference laid out five critical respiratory issues – and actions needed to resolve them – with hands-on advocacy training sessions and practical resources for attendees. The conference culminated with AANMA's 10th annual Asthma Awareness Day Capitol Hill, where members of Congress pledged their support for ensuring patient access to safe medications.

Read more about the conference in AANMA's May/June 2007 "The MA Report" newsletter and Summer 2007 "Allergy & Asthma Today" magazine.

AANMA's 2007 Asthma Conference was accredited by the MD/DC Society for Respiratory Care for 18 Continuing Respiratory Care Education Credits (CRCEs). More education credits will be offered at the 2008 conference.
